Scottish Water contractors CHAP have carried out preliminary and infill work along the sewer track of Lovers Walk last week. The path remains closed and work will continue this week.
Work has been hindered by freezing weather and members of the public ignoring the path closed signs.
Under health and safety regulations CHAP have to stop work every time a member of the public enters the barriered off site.
This is a frequent occurrence and is costing a lot of money.
Please can all members of the public respect the path closure signs and barriers to enable the work to be carried out unhindered.
